1. Windows Movie Maker – Windows only
What is it: Windows Operating Systems Video Editor
What it does: For those who have Windows operating systems, Windows Movie Maker will make as a good choice to edit your videos.
Limitations: it can only be used only for the most basic editing and creating. Effects you can create with this software are limited. Try out the editing and creating first and see if you are comfortable with the features.
2. IMovie – Mac only
What is it: Mac video editors
What is does: This platform has quite a number of features which are only found in video editors which cost you. We must say it is pretty impressive for an editor cum creator that comes with the system. They even made videos about it on Youtube. Go have a look. You’ll see the features available, including timeline and sound editing.
Limitations: It won’t be able to record your screen.
1. Gilsoft Screen Recorder
What is it: As the name implies, screen recorder.
What does it do: It captures what you see on screen and what you hear/say simultaneously, and saves them as compressed video file in real-time. It is usually used to create software demos, capture streaming videos and record game plays.
Limitations: It just records your screen. Won’t be able to zoom in, zoom out and do all the fancy stuff you can do with the paid screen recorders like Camtasia Studio.
What is it: Screen recorder which can record audio as well.
What does it do: Captures screen and audio recording all in AVI video format.
Limitations : It won’t be able to put all the videos that you have together because this is not a video editing software. For a screen and audio recorder, it does its job pretty well for a free software, we must say.
What is it: It is a video converter. Usually, you have to pay for software like that.

What is it: It is a Voice Recorder. This is a must-have tool in Internet Marketing.
What does it do: It records your voice, after which you can edit with simple tools within. This has become our go-to software for recording voices to fit into products, etc. They are also constantly updating their versions.
Limitations: The interface may seem intimidating at first. But there are only a few features that you will use frequent. Everything becomes easier after you edit your first voice file.
